IN MY SHOES
IN MY SHOES
Hadar Orshalimy & Sheldon Low
One small step scars my stiletto skin
I wanted one small step to where no woman has been
He knocked my heel out called me sweetheart closed the door with a grin
Just tally up another scuffmark and I swallow it in
So I say ‘scuse me Mr. you haven't paid me my dues
You wouldn’t last one minute
Just take a walk in my shoes
They say I'm prone to criminality my leather is suede
Well I'm a product of conditioning you made me a slave
If I had a school to speak of I would slip through the grades
But I got no Dr. Scholls no arch support I gotta get paid
So I say ‘scuse me Mr. you haven't paid me my dues
You wouldn’t last one minute
Just take a walk in my shoes
Some people claim we’re all the same
Say it’s a fair game after all
But all eyes are human and through them the right sometimes gets mixed with wrong
They say I got no laces and I got no soul
Since I don't walk straight straight to hell I will go
Why can’t two left feet be oh so beautiful?
If I ain’t in your face what the hell you bothering me for?
So I say 'scuse me Mr. you haven't paid me my dues
You wouldn’t last one minute
Just take a walk in my shoes
